Good pastries not too sweet and heavy. The bakery shop is clean. The layout inside on how the pastries are display is nice. The place is good location with easy parking.

One of my go-to bakeries in SGV. Service is usually decent and if you call ahead of time for a big order, they will try their best to accommodate. There is a small discount on Wednesdays (10% off) when you enter your phone number for rewards. The portion tends to be on the lighter side with some pastries, but it makes for it to be more guilt free. It is not too sweet or heavy for the most part vs other bakeries in which you feel like you need to eat the item in multiple sittings (like 85C's taro/ube buns). While my mom doesn't prefer this bakery, I like their pork floss rolls which apparently is a favorite that even OC people drive out for!

parking: free, small lot in the back (I've never had difficulty finding a spot, but it is a small lot) main takeaway: my favorite bakery in the 626! their prices are low and have been relatively resistant to inflation pricing. their egg tarts are the cheapest I've seen (they're under $2 each). my favorites rotate every so often and I'm currently hyperfixated on the pork sung roll.

I feel that Green Wheat Field Bakery is lowkey one of the best bakeries around the area. It's definitely not a household name since I think this is the only location and the bakery itself isn't that big but it has so many options from bread to dessert. There are so many different options of bread also from pork sung, bbq pork, red bean, sea salt and others. There are even many options of loaf of bread (toast) which is so soft from butter, pork sung, salty, etc. I'm not just impressed with the many options but taste wise, it's pretty on par or better than other bakery chains in the area. The portion is also good. Price wise, it's the same as others which definitely makes it comparable. Staff is friendly here. You do feel like you've stepped into a farm when you visit this bakery. Home feeling type of bakery is the place to be! Though I don't come as often as I want, I try when I'm in the area to pick up a few buns for breakfast.

Quick & fast service! I was a bit worried because I was placing a last minute order for a custom cake that I wanted to pick up on the same day, but the bakery staff was able to complete everything on time! Custom cake (10 in) ------------------- - ordered around noon on a Sat, was ready for pickup by 6 pm the same day - taro filling & sponge cake had a nice texture - overall, tasted not too sweet - total: $90 (a little pricey) - included candles + knife + small forks & plates (a nice plus since not many bakeries provide these free of charge nowadays)

Heavenly bliss has taken the unlikely earthly form of a brioche bun! Flavors of happiness are available in, but not limited to, Custard, Sesame, & Blueberry. It's joy at first sight as the fresh-baked loaves steam up the translucent windows of their paper bags. Unsliced, it's buyer's choice to dig in with knife or nails. However you tear in, the bread will yield and resist in ways foretelling softness and substance. The filling inside, whether chunky blueberry jam or thick custard paste, is a blessed bonus. Sweet treats like the Mini Cheesecake or Yogurt Bun are rapturous revelations. Savory snacks like the Ham & Pork Sung Bun and BBQ Pork Bun are divine discoveries. Green Wheat Field Bakery is part of a chain with only 3 branches in SF under the name Fancy Wheat Field and exactly one location in the LA area. Providence evidently smiles down on believers of the immaculate loaf.

Needed a character cake for a birthday and saw a Pikachu cake on their Yelp page. I showed it to them and ordered it for the next day pick up. I was shocked at the price! $95 for a cake that's similar in size to the ones already in the display that are being sold for $39.50? Same type of cake and filling. I can't complain too much since the cake was delicious and got lots of compliments. I would love another character cake. Maybe Doraemon or something else, but for $90+? I think I will stick with the fruit-topped already made sponge cake with fruit fillings.

Baked goods are so delicious. We got a variety of buns. The coconut cream bun - the bun itself was baked perfectly, moist and golden on the top. The filling was delicious. All the other buns we had were so delicious. We will definitely be back!

Finally got a chance to visit this place after passing by several times. This place might not have as many as pastry selections compared to other bakeries in town, BUT their bread loaves and slices are delicious and amazing! There are a lot of choices for sliced and non-sliced bread to choose from. Black Sesame Sliced Bread: it is soft and chewy. Also, you can actually taste the black sesame flavor. Love it, and I will definitely try the unsliced one next time. Walnut Raisin Bread Loaf: My favorite out of all! It got a great subtle sweet and yeast aroma. And this bread got a malty taste with tons of walnuts and raisins rolled in. Definitely worth a shot. Pork Sung Roll: my dad had this and he said it was great, but not amazing. However the price and the filling for this bread is unbeatable. Overall, this place is affordable and has a great pastry, cake, and bread selection. I wished I live around the area to try out more of their products and visit the store more frequently. Their staff was friendly and quit busy (only saw one person in store). The store got a great interior design and it is nice and clean; huge plus.
